How Does a PDO Thread Treatment Work?
PDO threads are thin threads made of a synthetic material that is 100% biocompatible and biodegradable. In other words, there is a low chance that there will be a negative reaction to the threads, and your body will use natural processes to break them down over time.
Because of this, PDO threads have actually been used as dissolvable sutures in surgical procedures for many years now.
Before the threads are inserted into your skin, your provider will ensure you are comfortable by using local numbing agents. Then, they will insert the PDO threads using a preloaded cannula, which is similar to how an IV line is inserted.
